Mariah Sussman (Co-Founder, Public Relations and Marketing Chair)

Mariah grew up in a Geodesic Dome in the mountains outside of Boulder, CO. In addition to always being active in theatre, Mariah was also a competitive figure skater and a varsity tennis player during her formative years. She opted for a drastic change of pace and a new environment when she decided to attend The George Washington University in downtown Washington, DC.
Mariah entered GW with every intention of graduating pre-med and eventually attending medical school. But it was at GW that she really discovered her love of theatre. Mariah took part in many theatrical productions and student films at GW and ultimately dropped her biology major and opted for dramatic literature major with a minor in biology. After graduating Suma Cum Laude from GW and working for a year for a public relations firm outside of DC, she found herself drawn to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career.
Mariah was extremely fortunate to meet Sight Unseen’s other co-founders soon after moving to LA. Co-founding the Sight Unseen Theatre Group is one of the things she is most proud of. She has worn many hats for Sight Unseen. In addition to serving as Public Relations and Community Outreach head, Mariah has also directed, produced and acted in many of Sight Unseen’s theatrical productions and short films.
Mariah is also a member of Footprint on the Sun Theatre Company and has acted in many other graduate student and independent films.
