TJ Moore's Art Party (2004)

Co-Founder TJ Moore poses with one of his original works on display at
Sight Unseen's Art Party in the summer of 2004.

After One Flea Spare was over, Sight Unseen wanted to try something a little different:  hosting a social event for the community.  Co-Founder TJ Moore's painting had been attracting attention for some time, and we decided to have a showing of his work and throw a huge party with live music.  The event was held on July 10th, 2004 at The Space, a funky Santa Monica club, and quickly grew from a neat little idea to a bash of epic porportions.

A private party with a lethal open bar began the festivities when the room was finally dressed to the nines with TJ's painting's displayed throughout the bar for people to admire.  Then the bar opened to the public and the party went on until later than anyone can actually remember.   Throughout the night, seven live acts took the stage, including Candybox Violence, Hijack the Disco, Chris Opperman, Co-Pilot, Dan Rocket, Andy Mitton.  The event, produced by Sight Unseen friend and collaborator Jim Conrads, was a huge success.  There are many pictures from this night (open bars leads to full cameras) - check out a few of our favorites below.
